The Canadian American Beer Festival is not only a celebration of beer.  It’s also a celebration of beer’s best friend, namely, food.  And in this case our Chef Krista van Wagner has teamed up with the Canadian Food & Wine Institute and international Canadian beer author Stephen Beaumont to present some of Canada’s special dishes and ways to enjoy them with beer. In addition, Jon Downing, professor brewmaster at the Niagara College Teaching Brewery, is set to be our second Meet the Brewer seminar leader.

The executive staff of the Conference and Event Center as well as market vendors will be offering a la carte food options taken from the Canadian pantheon of fine foods.  Expect the likes of Poutine, Kraft Dinner, Peameal Bacon Sliders, charcuterie, and cheese plates.   Food vendors will be on site and  take cash/card – there is also an ATM on site.

Stay tuned for more details, but expect the CanAm to be a course in the culture of both Canadian craft beer and some of the best dishes that go with them.
