For 25 years, Swans Brewery, Spinnakers Brewpub, Vancouver Island Brewing and Granville Island Brewing have been proud participants in the Great Canadian Beer Festival (GCBF). This year, the festival is taking it up a notch with the first-ever Canadian American Beer Festival. On October 29th, the Scotia Bank Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario will be filled with craft beer enthusiasts from both sides of the border. The Canadian American Beer Festival will feature 66 breweries and two cider houses from across Canada and the United States.
Attendees can expect to sample over 240 individual beers and ciders. Some of the participating breweries include Belt Line Brewery, Big Ditch, Brickyard Brewing, Pressure Drop and Resurgence from New York, as well as Flying Monkey, Henderson Brewing, Niagara Oast House, Niagara College Teaching Brewery, Sawdust City and more from Canada. On Thursday, March 29th (4:00 p.m.), Resurgence Brewing will kick off the festival with an epic launch of five beers. Each attendee will receive a beer program and a tasting glass to sample all of the delicious brews.
In addition to beer, there will also be a variety of ciders, mead, gluten-free beers, non-alcoholic beers and other non-alcoholic beverages such as kombucha, soda and juice available for purchase from participating food vendors. The full beer list for the Canadian American Beer Festival will be published on this website in August. So mark your calendars for October 29th and get ready to experience the best of beer from Western New York and Southern Ontario.
